LITHA - A Choral Almanac

with The South Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra

Conductor: Timothy Peters
Organist: Peter Heginbotham

Inspired by the Summer Solstice, Litha is an almanac of evocative choral works and soundscapes including Ola Gjeilo’s atmospheric ‘Sunrise Mass’, Eric Whitacre’s ‘Lux Aurumque’ and the world premiere of ‘Abdication of the Oak King’ by the concert conductor and SOC Assistant Musical Director, Timothy Peters.

If you love the cinematic sounds of contemporary choral music or are new to the genre, this is the concert for you.
